Support your symphony

The future of SKS

In early 2023, South Kansas Symphony incorporated as a not-for-profit entity and filed as an IRS 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit.

We are extremely grateful for the continued support from Southwestern College following the dissolution of their Fine Arts degree programs. However, now that our symphony is considered an independent entity, your generous donations are needed now more than ever in order to continue. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

The Legacy Regional Community Foundation will be the recipient and caretaker of symphony donations and funds. Please see below to learn about donation opportunities and feel free to contact us with any questions or donation inquiries.

The Symphony is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on ticket sales, donations from individuals and businesses, grants, and endowments. Your contributions will help us purchase new music and equipment, compensate the conductor, recruited musicians, and soloists, as well as provide opportunities for local and area musicians to produce symphonic orchestra performances. All financial contributions to the Symphony are to be made through the Legacy Foundation of Winfield.

Click the 'GIVE NOW' button to visit the Legacy Foundation's website, or click the 'LEARN MORE' button to download a PDF version of our giving options. When making a donation through Legacy, please earmark your gift for 'South Kansas Symphony, Inc.'

There are many ways you can financially support the Symphony:

CHARTER MEMBER | The Symphony appreciates the generous support it receives from individual and corporate sponsorships. We are seeking Charter Members who will help fund the next three concert seasons amounting to donations of $2,000 per year over the next three years. Charter Members will be recognized in concert programs throughout the season.

SEASON DONATIONS | The Symphony receives many donations annually from patrons and supporters. These donors are recognized in concert programs throughout the season. We appreciate any size of gift.

Levels of Giving  Charter ($2,000/3 years - $6,000 total)  |  Maestro ($500-$1,000)  |  Virtuoso ($250-$499)  |  Concert Master ($100-$249)  |  Friends ($25-$99)  |  Other

SYMPHONY ENDOWMENTS | The Symphony seeks tax-deductible donations that provide long-term support. Please contact the Legacy Foundation about such endowments by calling 620-221-7224.

VOLUNTEERS | The Symphony is generously supported by friends volunteering throughout the season. Needs include ushers, ticket sellers, committee members, etc. If you are a musician and would like to join the symphony, let us know. Please contact Rae Lynne Baker at 620-229-4282 to volunteer or to inquire about playing.

ATTEND CONCERTS | The symphony partly depends on funds from ticket sales to meet operational needs. By attending our concerts, bringing friends, and supporting live symphonic music, you are supporting the future of the rich musical heritage our hometown is known for. Additionally, we are committed to keeping our ticket prices affordable for all, with adult tickets costing only $10.
