Our Conductor

Dr. Michael Christensen

Michael Christensen is a performer, composer, arranger and conductor who serves on faculty at Cowley College. His prior faculty appointments include Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas, and The University of Texas at Brownsville. Dr. Christensen received his education at The University of Oklahoma, Texas Tech University, and is an alumnus of Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, Michigan. He currently resides in Arkansas City, Kansas. When he is not teaching or directing ensembles, he is often hiking nearby nature trails or spending time with friends in Winfield.
